Neglected Space?

Wow, I can't believe it's been almost 4 months since my last update on here. As mentioned in my previous update, I went overseas for 6 whole weeks and struggled to come back to work and reality after that.

Shortly after, I began planning my Europe trip - happening this September 2014. Super excited, I'm going to all the places that I've only seen on TV - namely, Greece, Paris, London, Italy :) and going to burn another big hole in my wallet but meh, who cares?? :P

Just to inform you all, the reason I haven't updated the last few months is because my laptop has officially crashed :( RIP

I'm currently on the hunt for a new one but I just haven't had much time to go and actually look. I also find it extremely difficulty to update on my iPad and phone - and post the pictures that I want (mostly , on my camera) but maybe I should give it a try again? I really want to update about my Asian trip that just passed.

In the meantime, keep up to date with me at:

Will try to update more frequently and will make more time to go laptop hunting!

Christmas Spirit

Tis the season to be jolly ~ fa la la la la la la la la

Hehe yeap, you guessed it. It’s festive season now and everywhere I go, all I hear are Christmas carols and Santa Clause/Mrs Clause taking pictures with the kids at the malls!
Pretty decorated trees are popping up everywhere and I love it!
This year, I’ll be spending my Christmas overseas – in KL, Malaysia to be exact! I’m really excited but bummed that I can’t decorate my own Christmas tree this year. The last few weeks, we’ve been going shopping for gifts for the family and also, for the relatives for when we go overseas in 10 days!! J
Also, today I sent out all my Christmas cards so to all my loved ones, I hope you look forward to a little something special in your mailbox soon x
P.S. Will always treasure Christmas as the birthday of my Saviour and my Lord JJ

December Update

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of posts lately (again). I found it hard to balance my time with a very busy month last month. Everything happened in November, I got the flu, had two groups of relatives plus one group from my bf’s side visit us, work got busy and amongst all that, I’ve been organising my 6 week holiday to Asia!
Omg, excited!

As we enter into December, I am getting more and more excited about my trip. Partly, to get away from Melbourne’s horrible wet weather (Not even close to summer weather) and partly because I miss my family, very much!
I think this picture from google best describes Melbourne’s weather. Hot one day and raining and miserably wet the next.

This year, I decided to spoil myself and take a longer break. I felt I needed it with everything becoming hectic at work with this new and extremely high scaled project we took on board.

So far, on my itinerary, I’ll be visiting Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong! *cue excited squeals*
Time to begin my countdown – Only 18 days left….

Enchanted Maze Gardens x Ethan's Birthday

Chris and I have been planning to catch up with our good friends, Cassy and Ethan for a day trip for a while now. We chose a Saturday that happened to coincide with Ethan's Birthday. We all decided that we wanted to go to a late night hot spring session so we planned our day around that. We had brunch, went for a walk to the coast, went cheese tasting, Strawberry farm, enchanted maze gardens, dinner then hot springs.

Ethan mentioned that he wanted to visit the Enchanted Maze Gardens. Chris and I actually wanted to visit this place about a month back but didn't end up going in because we thought the facade looked like it was designed for children and not suitable for us - it also rained that day, which drew us even further away.

We were really blessed with the weather on Saturday. It was forecast to rain that whole weekend but it was such a beautiful sunny Spring day. Chris and I were actually glad we didn't go in the last time because the rain would have spoilt everything as the maze gardens is entirely outdoors. Going in Spring made it so much more enchanting and beautiful, the flowers were in bloom and the trees were luscious green! Look how perfect everything is.

It really is so beautiful inside. The sculptures are perfectly cut out! Really impressive. It's not easy to maintain such a big high-maintenance area!

The lady at reception recommended we visit the Tube Slides and The 3D Spooky Maze first because they close earlier compared to the rest of the park. Good call from her because our favourite hang-out for the day was at the Tube Slides. Too bad it's super tiring because you have to lug these huge tubes

up a super steep hill before you can slide down and get sprayed with water. What's not to love?

Can't say the same about the 3D Spooky Maze. In my opinion, it was quite lame. You walk through these rooms with your funky 3D glasses on and the painting on the walls appear in 3D. I have to admit, I did get freaked out (at the very end, when the air machine popped and steam touched my leg). Props to me for freaking out the others! :P

Whilst we were going through the gardens, we looked up and saw these people tree surfing! Omgoodness, looks like so much fun but too bad, you require a booking to participate. Will definitely find time to go back there to tree surf!

Finished off a jam packed day with a relaxing night at the hot springs.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ETHAN :)

A Weekend Away - Part 2

The plan was to sleep in but that didn't go smoothly as our stomachs were all calling.. Last night, we only ate half a pad thai between Chris and I because we were told that it's not good to go to the hot springs on a full stomach.

Alex, Christine, Chris and I went to Buckley's chance for breakfast. This place is really cosy and again, recommended by Alex.

How cute are the menus! Reminded me of my childhood

Chris' poached eggs, bacon and hollandaise sauce.
Alex and Christine both ordered the Buckley's breakfast.
and I wanted to try something different so I ordered the Sweet Hash which was @#$#% insanely, asking-to-have-diabetes disgustingly sweet. Obviously I didn't eat much of it. Eek!

We then went to Cape Schanck to walk the boardwalk and enjoy the view. See the amazing view here.

After Christine and Alex left to go back to Melbourne, Chris took me to a Chocolate factory that we have wanted to visit for a while now

we picked our these melt-in-your-mouth delicious chocs
and decided we wanted more sweets so..
we went to the Strawberry farm to share a Berry Pannacotta. To die for.

A Weekend Away - Part 1

A group of 6 of us went on a weekend (2 days, 1 night) road trip to Portsea and stayed at our friend, Alex's holiday house. Chris (the bf) came over to pick me up as my place is on the way down to the coastal area. As we were late, we decided to drop by McDonalds for breakfast and coffee. The burgers were steamy hot. So fresh.. and the Hazelnut Latte was amaaazing ~!

Look at the steam coming out.. *drools*

Our main purpose of this getaway was to spend an evening at the hot springs, we booked ourselves in for the late night session (which is great because it's a lot cheaper and not as crowded!)

We met the others at D.O.C Mornington to enjoy some authentic Italian food. Alex suggested we try this place and because he is such a foodie, we knew it must be good! The place is very unique as it's connected to its own grocery store. Unfortunately, I didn't get to take a picture of the interior, it was way too busy! I did however take a picture of the Chamomile tea that Christine and I had. It's actually the first tea bag that I've seen presented so nicely, the taste is very fresh too - a little bit of a floral taste. Love The food was amazing but because we were all starving, we started eating before I had the chance to take any pictures TT

Look how pretty my tea bag is. Chris got me a whole box!

We reached Alex's place around 3 and lounged around the fireplace (it was raining so heavily) playing card games etc. I didn't think 6 adults could enjoy snap so much - damn painful though!

Thankfully, the rain stopped which meant we could hit the hot springs without having to worry about the staff chasing us our before closing but a little drizzle whilst you're in the springs is the best feeling ever!

Here are some amazing shots of the sunset from Alex's balcony before we left to relax our evening away.

Singapore

One country that I can never get enough of. I've been to Singapore numerous times in the past and I'm sure there'll be many more visits in the future.
I've walked Orchard Road hundreds of times, picked up all the bargains at Bugis, seen Singapore from above (Marina Bay Sand's swimming pool as well as the Singapore Flyer), been to Universal Studios once when they were still under construction and once more upon completion but something just keep drawing me back. So much so that I'll be back again in January '14

I love you SINGAPORE!
